Parameter Study on the Recycling of LFP Cathode Material Using Hydrometallurgical Methods

The need to recover critical elements from lithium-ion batteries is undisputed. further development of cathode materials and the move towards cheaper alternatives make it necessary adapt corresponding hydrometallurgical recycling processes. In best case, however, a process so flexibly structured designed that can be used for variety with different compositions. leaching nickel manganese cobalt oxide sulfuric acid reducing agent has already been demonstrated optimized in previous research work. Based on these data, an evaluation as well parameter study lithium iron phosphate material, which recently increasing frequency but significantly lower valuable metal content, was carried out within scope this publication. By using synergy effects occur, combination element could found factors identified.
